The collections are always knitwear and always fully-fashioned and 100% hand made or hand loomed on domestic machinery. All of Tim’s designs are ethically produced in Europe. Mostly in the UK and Ireland. The first collection for winter ’07 was shown at Dublin Fashion Week and was awarded the Brown Thomas Dublin Showcase award. This included a pop-up concession space on the International Designer Room in Brown Thomas, Dublin during the Winter ’07 season. Since then collections have been shown at Dublin, London and Paris Fashion Weeks.source
Tim Ryan learn't how to make clothes on his mother’s domestic sewing machine, crafting with various yarns or strips that he had to hand. Growing up devouring issues of 70s Vogue, it is this influence that seeps through into Ryan’s work. Displaying a sexually powerful and liberated woman, Ryan’s passionate use of color and handmade techniques highlight his defiantly body conscious designs.
